OSM Maritime completes acquisition of Kingston Offshore Services

OSM Maritime, a Norway-based ship manager, has reportedly completed the acquisition of Kingston Offshore Services- a New Zealand-based offshore marine service company.

The inclusion of the new company with operations near Port Taranaki, New Zealand’s oil and gas hub, is expected to reinforce the existing operations and services of OSM in Oceania, making the company a preferred partner for global companies operating in the region.

Speaking on the latest move, CEO of OSM Finn-Amund Norbye quoted that the acquisition allows the company to offer an entry point into the markets of New Zealand. Norbye added that OSM had professional and excellent cooperation with the staff at Kingston Offshore throughout the journey of the acquisition.

It has been reported that Kingston Offshore Services Founder Kurt Aldam will be a part of OSM in the organization spearheaded by Head of OSM Oceania Casey Munyard.

Aldam believes that the recent integration with the OSM Group will reinforce the company’s commitment to prioritizing clients. It was added that this transaction was mainly based on the philosophical alignment of the company.

For the record, Kingston Offshore Services has a proven track record in the offshore marine and oil and gas sector. It offers a complete package of services based on years of experience.

The company offers unparalleled services within the offshore industry of New Zealand primarily due to key staff who operate its business with a collective experience of 50 years in the oil, gas, and shipping sector of New Zealand.

Recently, the company handled projects like the provision of logistics, crewing, supporting Fugro, MMA, catering, and OMV for site survey at New Zealand’s OMV exploration wells, supporting the removal of Tui field FPSO disconnection, crewing for the offshore workover campaign of Superior Energy.

On the other hand, OSM has over 17,000 onshore and offshore employees and manages over 700 ships.
